Here I sit, barely able to lift my arm to drink my 4th coffee of the day, so this might take a while. It’s really quiet in the house right now so I thought I’d take this time to type out what I’m going through. Kyle Sr. is out lifting and Kyle Jr. is at Day home- currently he’s there for a couple hours 4 days a week, so we still spend all our days together and I’m just happy he doesn’t ask to be carried as much as he used to! I legit can carry him for 10 seconds then lactic acid kicks in and I have to put him down. I’m pathetic. Like my husband says about fitness competitions… “You’ll be the less physically fit you’ve ever been in your life when you step on stage” – it’s pretty true! I’ll have a killer body fat percentage (that will last 24 hours)- but i’ll be so depleted.
Fitness posing competitions are neat- they are truly a mental challenge! Like nothing else I’ve ever competed for. You have to live and breathe it 24/7. When you’re not training, you’re eating, when you’re not eating, you’re cooking, when you’re not cooking, you need a shower, when you’re out of the shower, you need to practice posing…
I can’t wait to be a powerlifter again… Lift for 1-8 reps and go home and eat pop tarts.
I have been having some pretty weird dreams too. Mostly about doing terrible and about desserts. So here is a super fun and DELICIOUS ‘dessert’ that I can eat 🙂
Birthday Cake Overnight Oats
Makes 1 Serving
1 Serving = Cal 394 Pro 37 Carb 41 Fat 8
– ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
– 1 6 oz container plain 2% greek yogurt
– ½ scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
– ⅓ cup almond milk
– ¼ tsp vanilla extract
– ¼ tsp butter extract
– stevia to taste
1. Stir together all ingredients and place in an airtight container. Store in the fridge overnight (or at
least 5 hours), then top with sprinkles and eat.
-You can heat this up the next morning, but I like it cold.
-If it gets too thick overnight, just add a splash of almond milk before eating.
And here I am… This was after chest day. I am becoming super vascular and it is very exciting!
